A BEWITCHING TIME IN THE WOODS!

Repertory Company Theatre becomes an enchanted world of magic beans, towering giants, and handsome princes for the darkly humorous and hauntingly beautiful masterpiece by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, Into the Woods. As the Baker and his Wife travel through the forest trying to reverse a witch’s curse, they come across Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and other famous storybook characters all in search of their own wishes…but “happily ever after” turns into a tale of “be careful what you wish for” when granted wishes have unexpected effects. This is Sondheim at his finest, with such memorable songs as “Children Will Listen” and “No One Is Alone.”

Treat your friends and family this Thanksgiving weekend!
Hilarious  Holiday show, more Naughty than Nice for those who prefer their Eggnog spiked.

Repertory Company Theatre kicks off the holiday season with David Sedaris’ The Santaland Diaries, directed by Michelle Levall and starring, audience favorite, Jordan Tomenga as Crumpet the Elf. Leave the kids at home for this hilariously irreverent holiday show. It’s David Sedaris’           side-splitting send-up of Christmas and his brief, misguided career as a Macy’s elf. Featuring an uproarious soundtrack of holiday tunes, The Santaland Diaries skewers everything we love (and secretly loathe) about the holidays. See what it’s like for the subversive to work at Santaland, where the only thing more plentiful than good cheer is a good case of the giggles.   PG 16
Bonus~  Opening Performance by Mia Fisher             Holiday dessert & beverage  bar available.

The irresistible, two-time Tony Award-winning Broadway musical based on one of the most romantic stories ever written, “The Bridges of Madison County”  Robert James Waller.  Book by Marsha Norman.  Music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown

This musical captures the lyrical expanse of America’s heartland along with the yearning entangled in the eternal question “What if…?”  It is the touching story of Francesca, a lovely Italian woman who married an American soldier to flee war-ravaged Italy. She is looking forward to a rare four days alone on her Iowa farm as her family heads to the 1965 Indiana State Fair when ruggedly handsome, National Geographic photographer Robert Kincaid pulls into her driveway seeking directions. What happens in those next four days may very well alter the course of Francesca’s life.
